Consolidation of two offices for Royal London Group

For the consolidation of two Edinburgh offices into one at Haymarket, Royal London Group worked with Bureau Move for the most sustainable outcome.

The replan of the Haymarket space included desking, pods, booths, sofas and meeting rooms and tables. Prioritising re-use and minimising waste, furniture from both offices was blended with new, and unwanted furniture was retained in the circular economy.

Promoting wellbeing, Royal London Group introduced a number of measures, including a reflection room and installation of a significant proportion of height adjustable desks into the Haymarket workspace. Bureau Move removed Herman Miller desking that was no longer required. Keeping this in the circular economy, it has been refurbished at the Bureau Group facility for sale in the second-hand market.

Working with Form Design, Bureau Group procured new café furniture to complement existing assets retained from across the two spaces.

All furniture, existing and new, has been asset tagged by the Bureau Group team. With a Take Back Scheme for all projects, a sustainable solution for end of life of all furniture is already in place.
